South Korea’s game giant NCSOFT announced today the acquisition of Singapore’s hand-shower Indygo Group, which is an important part of the company’s strategy to use mobile leisure as a new engine of growth. According to NCSOFT, 67 per cent of the Indygo Group studio shares were acquired last week at 15.34 million won (approximately $103.8 million), making it the largest shareholder.

Indygo Group is the parent company of Lihuhuhu, a Vietnamese game developer, who is well known for his leisure and reconciliation games. Lihuhu expects sales to reach 120 billion won in 2025, with over 80 per cent of the revenues coming from North American and European markets. NCSOFT contacted CEO Park Bingwu to say: “We have established a growth base in the global market for mobile leisure games through the acquisition of Lihuhu. We look forward to Lihuhu being the hub for the development of leisure games in the Asian region.” In addition, the NCSOFT, known for its large online role-playing role-playing role in Paradise, also plans to acquire Springcomes, a Korean mobile leisure game studio, which is expected to sell 28 billion won in 2025. These initiatives are part of the company ‘ s strategy to strengthen its leisure play product portfolio.

NCSOFT has set up mobile leisure play centres to build ecosystems that integrate the development, distribution, data-sharing and technical capabilities of companies. PARK Bingwu states: “We are negotiating further M & As with the European studio. In addition to M&As, we seek to expand the leisure play business by working with several global play studios.”
